Woodcut head- and tailpieces; woodcut vignettes on seconde and third title pages. PRINTED ENTIRELY IN RED: 3 title pages, 7 pages of front matter in part 1; 2-page tables at ends of parts 2 and 3; final 30 pages of notes. In contemporary mottled sheep, smooth spine gold-tooled with leather lettering piece. Marbled endleaves, edges stained red. A bit rubbed, with old repairs to joints. Slight foxing to first title, a few leaves creased, tiny tears in gutters of last two leaves of part 1 and first two of part 2. Bookplate of Wolfgang Luck mounted to rear flyleaf.
